White valentine's day was first celebrated in 1978 in Japan. It was started by the National Confectionery Industry Association (全国飴菓子工業協同組合) as an "answer day" to Valentine's Day on the grounds that men should pay back the women who gave them chocolate and other gifts on Valentine's Day.

In 1977, a Fukuoka-based confectionery company, Ishimura Manseido (石村萬盛堂), marketed marshmallows to men on March 14, calling it Marshmallow Day (マシュマロデー).

Soon thereafter, confectionery companies began marketing white chocolate. Now, men give both white and dark chocolate, as well as other edible and non-edible gifts, such as jewelry or objects of sentimental value, or white clothing like lingerie, to women from whom they received chocolate on Valentine's Day one month earlier.

If the chocolate given to him was giri-choco, the man, likewise, may not be expressing actual romantic interest, but rather a social obligation.

Congratulation to The Hurt Locker !

Big winner in Oscar 2010. Yet felt upset to Avatar ! Always in my heart, da best film & best director ! *big big claps*

To be honest, I haven’t watch The Hurt Locker yet. I think it’s a good muvee. I should be watching it ?! hmm.. (:

Once n for all, everyone has been expecting James Cameron to be da Best Director for Avatar, but his ex-wife Kathryn Bigelow got it for her The Hurt Locker !

The Hurt Locker got most of the Oscars ! The Hurt Locker got 6, which includes,

Best Director, Best Picture, Best Film Editing, Best Original Screenplay, Best Sound Mixing, Best Sound Editing

while Avatar only had 3,

Best Art Direction, Best Cinematography, and Best Visual Effects.

And,

Bigelow became da first female Best Director in da history of da Academy Awards.

Yet,

I was disappointed that UP in the Air won NOTHING, considering all three leads got nominations ! WTH ?!!!

It's a shame da academy didn't have da foresight to recognize da film's worth with its highest honor.

I watched this muvee yesterday and it's really awesome !
